Re: Barrow

Your Team: Second in the table Kettering Town

Night/Day: Day

Match: 9/10 On par with Cambridge for best away game of the season so far. A great game for a neutral but from a Kettering point of view one we should have wrapped up after the hour mark but somehow managed to make it a nervy last half hour.

Atmosphere: 7/10 Around 50 of us made the trip but most of the noise come from the Barrow lot.

Food: 9/10 The hot dogs were spot on. That good i had 2.

Drink: 7/10 Had a pint in the Social club and no complaints

Bar: 8/10 Quite a busy bar and a great view of the pitch from there.

People: 9/10 A brilliant lot. Met up with Jamie (Dog_T) who bought us a drink and exchanged plenty of banter with during the second half. All the Barrow lot i spoke to and made us feel very welcome. The stewards and Police inside the ground as well were sound as a pound.

Programme:5/10 Read it on the bus on the way home even before we left Barrow. Nothing much inside it for £2.50

Town: Did'nt go into town

Ground: 7/10 I had only seen Holker Street in the dark before now and it was a change to see it in Daylight. A nice mainstand and covered terrace down the side but both ends behind the goal let it down.

Talent: 10/10 The girl in the burger bar wearing the Purple sweater was to die for. She was stunning and doubt i will see a hotter bird at a ground this season.

Overall day: 9/10 After last years incidents i did'nt know what to expect but after yesterday my opinions on Barrow have changed for the better. All the supporters i met and spoke to made me and everyone very welcome and even though there were still plenty of little kids hanging about behind the goals i did'nt hear a peep out of them. The result capped off a great day out

Atmosphere: 6/10 - OK me and pissface stood in amongst the Barrow fans first half which was a laugh

Drink: 8/10 - I havent drunk that much in a long time, incredibly pissed by the time i got back to Birmingham New St, that pissed i set my sights on trying to pull a big black mumma

Bar: 8/10 - Excellent the crossbar is, you can even watch the 2nd half from there

People: 10/10 - Absolutely spot on as always

Programme: N/A

Town: 8/10 - Seems alright

Re: Barrow

Night/Day: Saturday 6/3/10. A 1-0 win.

Match: 8/10. Awful game with some terrible football on a poor pitch, but we produced the one single moment of class to win the game. A tasty flick by Danny Crow finished with aplomb by debut loanee Scott Neilson. The high mark is for the result only... our first win in three months.

Atmosphere: 6/10. Quite good. The Barrovian public get behind their team. Average support from United.

Food: 4/10. Very disappointing, especially as last seasons had been so good. New caterers? I use that word loosely. Not much choice and the burger with onions was like rubber.

Drink: N/A

Bar: 7/10. Spent before and after in the Strikers bar just outside the ground. Very reasonable prices and packed with U's fans.

People: 4/10. Not as friendly as the year before, in which they were wishing us luck in our bid for promotion. This year we had a few problems leaving the ground with chavs calling us 'cheating cnuts' and 'Southern pricks' etc etc..

Programme: 4/10. The lower end of the scale for quality.

Town: 6/10. A bit like going back to the 80's but ok enough.

Ground: 6/10. I quite liked it. Not sure why... maybe because we seem to win here.

Talent: N/A.

Overall day: 7/10. Such a relief to win for the first time in what seemed like years, finely polished off with a huge Dominos pizza to munch on as we made our way back to Leeds.

There are 3 catering vans, each one is owned by a different company so there's different items/prices at each one.

Unusual, I know.

Re: Barrow

We were in the opposite end to the ground as from the year before. Last year we were below the supporters bar/dressing rooms and the food from that van was superb.

hmm

Nothing?

BTW who's your #21? He's a tricky little bugger, isn't he? He's one of those players who could never succeed at Barrow as he'd get absolutely crucified for not tracking back enough, notwithstading any flair/ability he may show.
